Title: Nazif Chairs the Governors Council’s meeting
The 20th meeting of the Governor’s Council was held in Kafr El-Sheikh chaired by Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, in attendance of number of Ministers. In the meeting, Dr. Nazif confirmed several points including the importance of completing the comprehensive development planning in each governorate as well as expanding nutrition program in schools.

Title: The Egyptian Libyan Supreme Joint Committee meets in Tripoli
Nazif will co-chair today the meetings of the 10th round for the Egyptian Libyan joint supreme committee in Tripoli, in which they will discuss activating the recommendations of the leaders of the two countries, to increase the trade volume to reach 2 billion dollars, as well as encouraging the joint investment projects. They will also discuss the establishment of an oil refinery in Assuit, and starting some joint projects in African countries, south of the Greatest Desert.

Title: Establishing the first Egyptian Joint Stock Company for investing in Africa
Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Mona Omar concluded an African tour, after which she said that the preparations for the Egyptian Congolese joint committee have started, to be held next year, aiming at encouraging the investment activities in the two countries. The two countries will amend the signed agreements on the dual taxation and investment protection, and will announce in the coming few days the establishment of the first Egyptian joint stock company for investments in African, to be an economic grouping including all the Egyptian companies, which will focus on investing in the Nile Basin countries, starting by Ethiopia, according to the directions of Prime Minister, Dr. Nazif.

Title: Death case no. 23 of Swine Flu confirmed
Ministry of Health reported the death case number 23 from the H1N1 virus, for a 30-year-old woman from Aswan Governorate. The victim was 8-month pregnant. The ministry’s weekly report showed yesterday that the total confirmed cases of the swine flu reached 3618 cases.
